Damon Redding, PharmD, MPH, MBA is the System Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer for Trinity Health corporation, based in Livonia Michigan, and has oversight of pharmacy services across the health care continuum, serving communities in 26 different states.
Dr. Redding has worked in various settings and served in different leadership capacities over the past 20+ years. He completed is clinical residency at University of Florida SHANDS Jacksonville, and initiated his career as a critical care clinical pharmacist at Northside Hospital Health System. There he advanced to Director of Pharmacy Operations, where he led both hospital and outpatient pharmacy services, including the 340B program. Additionally, Dr. Redding served as the National Senior Director Acute Care Pharmacy Services and Interim Vice President at Kaiser Permanente, playing an active role leading the pharmacy organization during the COVID-19 pandemic, before his present role as Chief Pharmacy Officer at Trinity Health.
Dr. Redding has a Masters in Public Health from Eastern Virginia Medical School and an Executive Masters in Global Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, where he studied and took courses in 5 different countries across the globe. He is a passionate patient advocate, with a goal of ensuring access to healthcare through various initiatives that benefit patients and communities in need. Trinity Health owns or is a partner of both 340B and non-340B covered entities, ranging from critical access, rural referral centers, disproportionate share hospitals and FQHCs, where many of the entities serve as safety net facilities for their communities.
