Rosland Fisher McLeod is Sr. Vice President, Legal and Public Affairs, Chief Legal Officer at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center where she oversees legal affairs, compliance, public affairs, internal audit, risk and insurance. Cincinnati Children’s is one of the top 3 children’s hospitals institutions in the country. Prior to serving there, she was the SVP, Chief Legal Officer of SCL Health in Denver, Colorado. Ms. McLeod joined SCL Health in August 2012. McLeod served as a strategic advisor to SCL Health’s Board of Directors, CEO and members of the senior leadership team. She had responsibility for all legal affairs, insurance, risk management, emergency preparedness, and diversity & inclusivity functions of the health system. McLeod and was President and Board Chair of Leaven Insurance, SCL Health’s captive insurance company.
Prior to joining SCL Health, she served as the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Biogen-Idec in Cambridge, Massachusetts. McLeod held responsibility for the company's global corporate compliance program. She oversaw the training, communication, maintenance, and monitoring of the organization's internal compliance processes for all areas of the company. McLeod also held responsibility for internal investigations.
Prior to joining Biogen-Idec, McLeod was a healthcare partner at the law firm K&L Gates. She also served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Novation Corp., one of the country's largest healthcare group purchasing organizations; and as Vice President of Legal Operations for Triad Hospitals, a Fortune 500 hospital company.
McLeod is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the Catholic Health Association of the United States, the American Bar Association, the Council on Corporate Compliance and Ethics, the Health Care Compliance Association, Corporate Counsel Woman of Color, the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Healthcare Association, the National Association of Health Services Executives, the Ethics & Compliance Officer Association, the National Bar Association, the Colorado Hospital Association, the Colorado General Counsel Group, the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, and the Colorado Hospital Association Task Force on Workforce and Governance Diversity. She was a recipient of the 2015 Burton Awards for Legal Achievement Legends in Law Award and the 2021 University of Houston Law Center Dean’s Award recipient.
McLeod received her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University and her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. She is admitted to the Texas Supreme Court and the Colorado Supreme Court.
