OVERVIEW: New to 340B? Looking for a refresher on the fundamentals—or a resource to help onboard colleagues? Attend 340B Health’s 340Bootcamp, a three-part introductory webinar series that takes participants from the foundations of the 340B program through its day-to-day lifecycle, culminating in a discussion about key developments shaping its future. Designed with beginners in mind, 340Bootcamp will provide a practical foundation for understanding 340B while also offering a useful resource for experienced 340B professionals supporting education and onboarding within their organizations. Each webinar will include time for Q&A.

Part 1: Exploring 340B: Origins, Eligibility, and Compliance
We begin the series with an exploration of the origin and intent of the 340B program, what the law requires of manufacturers and covered entities, how entities obtain 340B discounts, hospital eligibility requirements, and a foundational compliance concept, the prohibition against diversion.

Part 2: The Lifecycle of 340B Drugs: Purchasing to Reimbursement
Part 2 explores the lifecycle of a 340B drug, from procurement to reimbursement, highlighting the operational, financial, and compliance considerations that influence each stage. We begin with purchasing, including an overview of the GPO prohibition and its impact on certain hospitals, as well as considerations for drugs subject to backend rebates. Learners will then examine strategies for managing both 340B and non-340B inventories before turning to billing and reimbursement policies across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. Special attention will be given to the intersection of Medicaid and 340B, including the statutory prohibition against duplicate discounts, which protects manufacturers from providing both a 340B discount and a Medicaid rebate on the same drug. Building on these core compliance concepts, the webinar will conclude with an overview of the HRSA audit process and key audit focus areas.

Part 3: Key 340B Developments: Their Importance and Impact on Hospital Operations
In Part 3, we will explore recent changes and proposals that could significantly affect how hospitals participate in and benefit from 340B. Attendees will receive an update on HRSA’s 340B rebate pilot program, manufacturer demands for 340B claims data, changes to 340B savings from implementation of Medicare maximum fair prices, and CMS’s proposal to substantially reduce Medicare Part B drug payments for most 340B hospitals paid under the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS). We will also provide an overview of the latest 340B legislative proposals and activity on Capitol Hill. Participants will walk away with a baseline understanding of the developments shaping today’s 340B landscape, considerations for preparing for and assessing the potential impacts, and favorable 340B and safety-net provider policy advocacy strategies.
