State 340B Legislative Update Webinar

Over the last few years, 340B has become a major subject of state legislative policymaking. As Congress continues to discuss broader changes to 340B, many state legislatures are introducing 340B bills and enacting laws. In 2021 and 2023, Arkansas and Louisiana, respectively, became the first two states to enact laws protecting covered entities from manufacturers’ restrictions on contract pharmacy. Since then, the total number of states with contract pharmacy laws that protect 340B hospitals now totals 21. In addition, more states have considered bills to prohibit discriminatory payer policies or to strengthen existing anti-discrimination laws, while other state legislatures have explored 340B reporting requirements like those enacted in Minnesota, Maine, and Washington in 2023 and seven additional states in 2025.
This webinar will update members on the latest 340B developments in states across the country, including the recently passed contract pharmacy law in Washington, other proposed legislation, recent legal decisions and updates, and manufacturer exemptions from data collections for states with existing contract pharmacy laws.
