Efforts by a group of major pharmaceutical manufacturers to dramatically limit access to 340B discounts represent a significant threat to safety-net hospitals and the patients they serve. Three drugmakers – Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca, and Sanofi – are denying 340B discounts to providers who use contract pharmacies. Merck and Novartis have threatened to limit 340B discounts if providers won’t comply with their demands for access to patient claims data. This is a rapidly changing environment and this new webinar will provide you with up-to-the-minute updates on:
- Actions of Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca, Novartis, Sanofi, and Merck to limit 340B discounts for contract pharmacies;
- Manufacturers’ demands for extensive patient claims data;
- Efforts by a manufacturer vendor, Kalderos, working with unnamed manufacturers, to convert the 340B discount program into a rebate program;
- Work of 340B Health, our members, and our allies to continue to pressure manufacturers to halt their damaging actions;
- Response by members of Congress and the Department of Health & Human Services to this crisis; and
- How your hospital can support advocacy efforts.
