State 340B Legislative Recap Webinar

Over the last few years, 340B has become a major subject of state legislative policymaking. As Congress continues to discuss broader changes to 340B, many state legislatures are introducing 340B bills and enacting laws. In 2021 and 2023, respectively, Arkansas and Louisiana became the first two states to enact laws protecting covered entities from manufacturers’ restrictions on contract pharmacy. Since then, more than 20 states have introduced bills to protect covered entities’ access to contract pharmacy. In addition, more states have considered bills to prohibit discriminatory payer policies or to strengthen existing anti-discrimination laws. At the same time, more state legislatures have explored 340B reporting requirements like those enacted in Minnesota, Maine, and Washington in 2023. This webinar will provide attendees with an overview of these developments and suggestions on what hospitals can do to prepare for and engage in future state 340B policymaking.
