WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Board of Directors of 340B Health has elected two new members representing hospitals and health systems participating in the 340B drug pricing program.

Matthew Perry is President and CEO of Genesis HealthCare System in Ohio. He has served in this role for 14 years at Genesis, during which time he helped implement a systemwide electronic medical record, start a Level III trauma program, launch an accredited cancer care center, and open a new Genesis Hospital. He received the distinguished American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Early Career Healthcare Executive Regents Award. He also has served on numerous regional and local committees, including for the Ohio Hospital Association and the Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce.

Jesse Breidenbach is System Executive Director, Pharmacy, for Sanford Health in North Dakota and South Dakota. He has been part of the Sanford system for 15 years, during which time he led various major pharmacy projects, including establishment of an Antimicrobial Stewardship Program that won a North Dakota Society of Health-System Pharmacists Best Practice Award. Under his leadership, Sanford has used its 340B savings to expand and enhance patient care for underserved, largely rural patient populations, including through a Level I trauma center, the provision of psychiatric services throughout the system’s footprint, and a child advocacy center for at-risk youth.

“We are thrilled to have Matthew and Jesse join the board and further their enormous contributions to safety-net hospitals and health systems for the benefit of the patients in need who rely on them for their care,” said 340B Health President and CEO Maureen Testoni. “These experienced, knowledgeable, and talented executives know full well the essential work that 340B hospitals are doing to treat patients with low incomes and those living in rural areas – and what must be done to safeguard the resources that help enable the success of that work.”
