340B HEALTH BOARD ELECTS TWO NEW MEMBERS

WASHINGTON, D.C., JAN. 05, 2020— The Board of Directors of 340B Health has elected two new members representing hospitals and health systems participating in the 340B drug pricing program. The new additions took effect Jan. 1 to replace departing members of the board.

Marla Weigert is System Vice President of Revenue Services and President of CommonSpirit Specialty Pharmacy based in San Francisco. As a strategic, transformational leader, Marla is recognized for delivering impactful operational and financial results, developing innovative solutions and driving strategic vision from inception to operationalization. Throughout her more than 35-year career in health care, she has developed experience that spans multiple sectors of the marketplace. She has worked with leading health care organizations, group purchasing organizations, and technology companies. She previously was an executive for Premier Healthcare Alliance, one of the largest group purchasing organizations in the U.S., and for Fairview Integrated Health System of Minneapolis, where she managed the system’s supply chain.

Beth Feldpush, DrPH, is Senior Vice President of Policy and Advocacy at America’s Essential Hospitals (AEH). AEH is an association of hospitals and health systems that care for vulnerable people and provide vital services to communities. Beth directs the association’s federal government affairs portfolio, policy development activities, and internal and external communications. She also manages the association’s participation in and leadership of coalitions and allied organization activities, acting as a liaison to other stakeholder organizations. She previously served as a senior associate director for policy at the American Hospital Association (AHA), as a senior health care analyst at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), and as manager of governmental affairs and public relations at the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA).

Testoni also thanked the two departing board members for their long and distinguished service. Bruce Siegel, AEH’s President and CEO, served more than 10 years on the board. Samuel Ross, former Chief Community Health Officer at Bon Secours Mercy Health in Baltimore, served more than eight years on the board, including two years as Board Chair.
