Who is 340B Health?  
340B Health is a nonprofit membership organization representing over 1,300 hospitals in the 340B drug discount program. We are the only advocacy organization focusing exclusively on 340B, including advocacy  to protect this vital program. We also provide a variety of valuable programs and services around operations and compliance which are tailored just to hospitals. We are independent from both the drug industry and the government and have been serving 340B hospitals since the program’s inception.

What is the Institutional Membership program?
Our Institutional Membership program supports hospitals in their day-to-day implementation of 340B. We also offer an Individual Membership (IM) for employees of our Institutional members.

What are the benefits of joining 340B Health as an Institutional Member?

Does 340B Health offer different membership levels?

Yes, we offer three levels of member service; Enhanced, Standard and Basic.

  • Enhanced Members receive 10 Technical Assistance (TA) calls per year and unlimited free webinars
  • Standard  Members receive five TA calls and our $25 member rate on select webinars
  • Basic Members receive three TA calls and our $25 member rate on select webinars. (Please note that our Basic Level membership is only available to critical access hospitals).

What are the annual dues?

Membership dues are based on your hospital’s average daily census beds and the level of service you prefer, based on your unique operational, implementation and advocacy objectives and needs. We offer three membership levels: Enhanced, Standard and Basic. Please note that our Basic Level membership is only available to critical access hospitals.

Are system discounts available?
Yes, 340B Health offers generous system discounts. If a hospital in your system is already a member, your entity may be entitled to our discount. Can my hospital join any time of year?
Yes. Institutional memberships are based on the calendar year with annual invoices sent out each fall, but we welcome new members throughout the year.

Are 340B Coalition Conference discounts available to members of 340B Health?
Yes, Institutional members are entitled to a $175 discount (conference plus preconference) per attendee.  Individual Members get access to exclusive early hotel booking opportunities.

Are all hospitals eligible to join 340B Health?
All hospitals that are enrolled or plan to enroll in or plan to the 340B program – operated by federal government’s Office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA) – are encouraged to join. Our membership consists of DSH, critical access, sole community, rural referral centers, children’s and cancer hospitals. If your hospital is not yet enrolled in 340B, it can join as an Associate member until the enrollment process is complete.

How many staff at my hospital can have access to 340B Health benefits?
There is no limit – you can include all of your staff and we encourage you to do so, especially your 340B team, C-Suite, hospital counsel and government relations staff.

Is 340B Health a nonprofit organization?
Yes, 340B Health is a section 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association. Payments are not deductible as a charitable contribution, but may be deductible as a business expense. Check with your tax advisor. Federal tax ID: 20-5913680.

What are 340B Health’s lobbying expenses?
340B Health’s 2017 lobbying expenses are projected to be 8% of overall expenses.
